Who are we?
Positive Plus is built on the investing experience and knowledge of our three key members whose combined experience totals over 62 years.
Those key members are:
Chris Jones:
Chris Jones is a social entrepreneur and a businessman with interests in wealth creation, investment strategies, property investments and personal development. He started his first business with a few friends in 2001 when he had enough of being an employee being told what time to start and finish work…
Chris Jones grew up in Pontypridd and is motivated by a desire to help, improve one’s educational and economic circumstances through his learning and experiences. Chris is known for his ambitious attitude and the lack of acceptance of accepting the world ‘as it is’. He constantly reminds himself “for things to change, you have to change” and reminds others about Einstein’s quote “Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.”
Chris prides himself on the ability to be open minded to new opportunities, income creation concepts and third party feedback (whether positive or not so positive). His career has spanned over sectors which include property, financial services, training and education and he is probably better known for his property investment and money market trading activities.
Craig Donovan:
Craig has worked within the financial servi
ces and property industry for over 25 years. He received excellent training during his 16 years working for Barclays Bank, and in his final years there he specialised as a commercial banking manager looking after local SME’s.
Craig moved on from Barclays in 2004 to become a Regional Business Development Manager at Finance Wales, helping attract new business and build relationships within the intermediary community in South Wales. Following that he then became self-employed in 2006, and during that time he has helped his clients raise finance and advise them on property investment opportunities.
Craig has always had an interest in property investment and starting his own property investment portfolio in 2005 which has now grown to 8 properties spread throughout UK, Europe and the Caribbean. This interest has now also expanded into other investment opportunities.
Craig lives in Cardiff, with his wife Natalie, and children Abbi and Rhys.
Ken Paine:
Ken was born in Llangadog, a small rural village in Carmarthenshire and was brought up amongst the farming community there; he is a fluent Welsh speaker. At 17 Ken left home to join the Royal Marines Commandos where he served for 10 years and was stationed in the Middle East, South East Asia and Northern Europe. During the last 3 years of his service, he was appointed to serve on the Commander in Chief’s Personal Staff at the NATO Headquarters in London.
After his military service Ken settled in Cwmbran where he broadened his experiences in Retail, as a Farmer and finally moving into Financial Services. He joined a brokerage in Chepstow as a Financial Adviser and soon after was offered a partnership and the opportunity to expand the company through further offices in Newport, Bristol, Flint and Cwmbran. In 1990 Ken became the Principal, specialising in Pensions, Investments, Protection and Mortgages.
Ken has been a member of the Rotary Club of Cwmbran for over 20 years and has held the position of President on 2 occasions. For a period of 3 years he was President of the Gwent Disabled Sports Club. A keen cyclist, Ken has completed the ‘Raid Pyreneen’, an endurance event from Atlantic to Mediterranean coasts traversing the peaks of the Pyrenees made famous by the Tour de France.
Ken is an enthusiastic believer in the investment opportunities provided by Positive Plus because of the flexibility and benefits that they offer individual investors. He is pleased to have been invited to join Positive Plus and has dedicated his efforts towards making it a success for the benefit of his clients.
Ken still lives in Cwmbran with his wife, Jan, a retired Primary School Teacher. His daughter Sharon, son-in-Law Dave and grandson Dan live close by and who have also enjoyed the delights that Buccament Bay has to offer.
